OZONE and UVB Treatment

blood drop heartOZONE, a naturally occurring gas of 3 oxygen molecules is used as a powerful medical treatment and Ultraviolet light can be harnessed to exert similar powerful healing effects for a range of difficult medical conditions.

It appears that ‘treating’ a small volume of blood and then putting it back into the body initiates a cascade of immune and other responses. Whilst that may seem strange to our ways of taking pills, read on and discover for yourself the science of what is termed ‘oxidative therapies’.

I shall briefly describe these agents but more importantly provide excellent links to very informative websites which I recommend you research.

Ozone and Ultraviolet Therapy together have been used in many countries for over 80 years especially in Germany and other European countries. Over the decades, Europe and the USSR researched and developed many very powerful physical treatments whereas Western countries like the US, UK and Australasia, went more down the molecular biological path hence dependence on medical drugs as the prime treatment paradigm.

How is OZONE administered?

blood infusion1Several ways – Ozone is first generated by a specially designed medical apparatus from pure oxygen. It can be mixed with blood, saline and oils or given direct into body cavities. It can be applied direct to wounds within a sealed bag around the leg for example. Ozone is not safe to breathe. Equipment is designed to remove waste ozone.

Serious medical treatment is best achieved by taking off a small volume of blood, mixing freshly made ozone and re-infusing the treated blood back into the patient.

For enhanced benefits, the ozonated blood is passed through medical Ultraviolet irradiation as described below. The results can be impressive.

Ultraviolet Irradiation

UVBI or UV Therapy

Quoted from the AAOT website
“Also Known as Photoluminescence and “UltraViolet Blood Irradiation Therapy”.

GHL-Azura 2000UVB Ultraviolet Therapy has many similar effects to Ozone Therapy. UVB Ultraviolet Therapy is a medical therapy where the blood is exposed to Ultraviolet UVC light as it is removed from the patient and then reintroduced back to the patient’s body.

Some of its effects are:

  • Improved circulation and oxygenation of tissues
  • Anti-inflammatory effects
  • Stimulation of the Immune System
  • Increased Tolerance of the body to Chemotherapy and Radiation
  • Cardiovascular protection
  • Powerful Anit-Infection Properties

UVB Ultraviolet Therapy has few (if any) side effects and the beneficial effects are long lasting. It is easily combined with other medical therapies and is economical, dependable, and gentle for the patient. UVB Ultraviolet therapy has been used in humans since 1928 when it was first used in Germany on a woman dying of sepsis (a usually fatal bacterial infection of the blood). She was cured in 2 days.”

Quote from their website

“Ozonotherapy is the use of medical grade ozone, a highly reactive form of pure oxygen, to create a curative response in the body. The body has the potential to renew and regenerate itself.  The reactive properties of ozone stimulate the body to remove  impediments thus allowing the body to do what it does best – heal itself. There are professional medical ozonotherapy societies in over ten countries worldwide. Recently, the International Scientific Committee on Ozonotherapy (ISCO3) was formed to help establish standardized scientific principles for ozonotherapy.

  • It activates the immune system in infectious diseases.
  • It improves the cellular utilization of oxygen that reduces ischemia in cardiovascular diseases, and in many of the infirmities of aging.
  • It causes the release of growth factors that stimulate damaged joints and degenerative discs to regenerate.
  • It can dramatically reduce or even eliminate many cases of chronic pain through its action on pain receptors.
  • Published papers have demonstrated its healing effects on interstitial cystitis, chronic hepatitis, herpes infections, dental infections, diabetes, and macular degeneration.

Quote from their website

“Ozone has the unique property that literally all microbes are susceptible to its oxidizing powers without the development of resistance. Because of these remarkable antiseptic qualities, it was used successfully to treat infected wounds during the First World War. The wide spread medical use of ozone was first developed in Germany in the early 1950s. Today medical ozone therapy is common throughout Europe and has been gradually spreading to the United States over the last 15 years.  There are more than 40 international organisations representing thousands of physicians who use ozone in their daily practice.”

Medical Properties of Ozone.

Ozone has several general properties that account for its many clinical uses:

  • Ozone is a potent regulator of the immune system
  • Ozone stimulates increased uptake and utilization of oxygen
  • Ozone increases the efficiency of the body’s anti-oxidant enzyme system
  • Ozone improves circulation
  • Ozone is anti-inflammatory
  • Ozone is anti-microbial
