Hypoglycaemia Symptoms (low blood sugar)

If blood glucose levels drop for whatever reason, normal corrective mechanisms should replace sugar levels quickly. If this cannot proceed and glucose drops below the 'lower limits' symptoms may occur from the lack of glucose fuel and from adrenalin output as an emergency response.

Symptoms may include: lightheadedness, dizziness, anxious, sweating, palpitations, panic feeling, frontal headache and sugar craving. Of course severe hypoglycaemia can result in loss of consciousness - as with insulin overdose in diabetes.

The Hypoglycaemic Syndrome is a separate entity where people have poor control of the insulin-glucose balance. Multiple causes exist.
