Patients diets are evaluated to assess potential allergic or intolerant foods (there is a difference !) The LRD has a list of foods to exclude and those that can be freely consumed for the duration of the test - usually about 3 weeks.
LRD diet are sheets given out, or can be printed off this website by registered patients or members, then modified according to individual needs.
Most patients discover their food intolerance's by simply using this method before requiring expensive Food Allergy blood testing.
A Food Allergy blood test evaluation of 96 foods can be undertaken but it is best done when you have been eating the foods that you suspect for at least 2 weeks. So if you do wish to include a Food Allergy test, its better to do this before the elimination or LRD diet testing.
